Implement of PeopleSoft Campus management solution

  • IBA Sukkur is one of the leading business institute of Pakistan and recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
  •  It is one of the oldest business institutes in South Asia.

Key Issues:

  • SIBA university used to have a legacy system, which just catered to accounts payable business cycle and rest of the business processes were manually followed (Paper-trial environment)
  • Salary distribution and receivables were manually followed.
  • No online recruitment systems were applied.
  • There were no cross checking systems for student fee management
  • No cut off dates were followed.
  • Extensive use of spread sheet was utilized for Reports generation.
  • No single database for employee records existed
  • All departments worked in silos

Sapphire’s Approach:

  • To address some of the key issues at SIBA, Sapphire Consultancy Services proposed to implement PeopleSoft Campus management solution.
  • Sapphire started the implementation project using Oracle OUM methodology which was latest one of that time.
  • Sapphire is the first IT Consultancy firm to implement PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM modules in Pakistan.

  • Successful implementation of PeopleSoft Financials, Supply Chain and Human capital management modules.
  • Automated online recruitment processes has been achieved.
  • Employees are utilizing the benefits of Online & Self Service requisitions and employee leave application process at SIBA.
  • Periodic performance evaluation of employees is now being processed online using Performance Management module.
  • Paperless environment has been achieved via online approvals system of leaves, requisitions and performance documentation.
  • PeopleSoft Automated Payroll is now making life easier of end user and maintains the history of employees’ salaries and allowances.
  • PeopleSoft Financials is integrated with PeopleSoft Campus management to auto fetch the receivable of students.
  • Strong PeopleSoft reporting is gradually making the paperless environment at SIBA.
  • Due to PeopleSoft ERP all departments are now integrated from Supply chain to Financials and HCM which makes management easy to make decisions based on the accurate data.
